Check your setup
Seven practical tools that turn the guides into numbers for your own tank. Each one shows its assumptions and links to the reasoning behind every result, and each installs on a phone as an app of its own.

- 01 Planning Tank Size Calculator How much water do your goldfish actually need? Estimate a sensible aquarium size from the number and type of goldfish you keep. Shows a minimum and a comfortable range, and explains the assumptions behind both.
- 02 Planning Aquarium Volume Calculator Turn tank dimensions into litres and gallons. Convert the dimensions of a rectangular, bow-front or cylindrical aquarium into litres, US gallons and UK gallons, allowing for water level and decor.
- 03 Testing Water Parameter Checker Enter your test results and see what they mean. Check temperature, pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate against ranges suitable for goldfish. Get a status for each value, an overall picture and a sensible next step.
- 04 Planning Aquarium Stocking Checker Is your setup reasonable for the fish in it? Assess a proposed or existing goldfish setup: the fish you keep, the water volume, and the filter. Get a clear verdict with the reasoning behind it.
- 05 Diet Feeding Calculator A starting framework for how much and how often. Build an approximate feeding routine from the number and size of your goldfish, the food format you use and the water temperature. Ranges, not false precision.
- 06 Lifespan Goldfish Age Calculator Where is your goldfish in its life? See which life stage your goldfish is in, what to expect at that stage, and how far along a typical lifespan it is. Educational, and a little bit fun.
- 07 Tankmates Compatibility Checker Can it live with goldfish? Pick a species and find out whether it is generally suitable as a goldfish tankmate, with the reasons: temperature, size, behaviour and diet.
How the tools are built
Ranges, reasons, and no false precision
- Every result explains itself. You see the working ranges and the assumptions, not just a number.
- Husbandry advice varies. Where keepers disagree, the tools show a minimum and a comfortable figure rather than pretending there is one rule.
- Nothing is medical. The water checker and health pages are educational. A sick fish needs clean water first and a vet if it is not improving.
