Privacy

We collect very little, and we say exactly what.

What we collect

gold.fish is a static website. There are no accounts and no comment system. The one form that sends anything is the contact form: your name if you give it, your email address and your message go through Web3Forms, a form service, to our inbox, and are used to reply to you. The interactive tools run entirely in your browser: the numbers you enter into a calculator are never transmitted anywhere.

Our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not used to build profiles of visitors.

Cookies and local storage

The site does not set tracking cookies. It may use your browser’s local storage for small conveniences, such as remembering a preference, and that data never leaves your device.

Third parties

Fonts are self-hosted; there are no external font, analytics or advertising scripts on this site at present. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered by Web3Forms, which handles them under its own privacy policy. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future, this page will describe what is collected and why before it happens. Links to retailers take you to their sites, which have their own privacy practices.

Email

If you write to us, we keep your message for as long as it takes to answer it and deal with anything it raises. We do not add addresses to any list.

Changes

Changes to this page are dated at the top. Questions go through the contact form.

Put gold.fish on your home screen

It opens full screen, like any app, and the pages you have read open without a connection.

  1. Tap Share

The square with an arrow pointing up. In Safari it is in the bar at the bottom of the screen, or at the top on an iPad; if you see only the address, tap ••• beside it first. In Chrome it is at the right of the address bar.

  2. Choose Add to Home Screen

If it is not in the list, scroll down, or tap View More.

  3. Tap Add

If your iPhone shows Open as Web App, leave it on. The icon joins your other apps.

  1. Open the browser’s menu

The three dots at the top right in Chrome, or the three lines at the bottom in Samsung Internet.

  2. Choose Install app

Some browsers call it Add to Home screen; in Samsung Internet it is under Add page to.

  3. Tap Install

The icon joins your other apps, on the home screen and in the app drawer.
